Let's talk about your next home.
Your home is likely to be the single largest purchase you will make in your lifetime, and Granville will be with you every step of the way. From helping you select your lot to familiarizing you with every feature of your new home, we strive to keep you as informed and involved as possible. This step-by-step guide will give you an overview of the road to owning a new Granville home. Please explore the process, and we hope you’ll reach out if you have any questions.
1. Granville Home Loan
Pre-Approval
Granville has preselected a panel of lenders to assist you with the financing of your home. We know this is one of the most important steps in your purchase, so we want to ensure you have a team that makes your experience as enjoyable as possible.
2. Select Model and Reserve
The first step with Granville is picking your home and home site. A Granville sales associate will walk you through what is available and will answer any questions you have about Granville models.
Once these have been selected, you will be asked to make a $1,000 refundable lot hold deposit on your home, made payable to Old Republic Title Company.

3. Sign Purchase Agreement, Sit Back & Relax!
The sales associate will guide you through what to expect over the next few months. At the signing of your contract, you will bring in your deposit. Craftsmanship takes time, and your new home is no exception.
4. Framing Tour
Depending on the construction timeline in which your home was purchased, our quality Assurance department will contact you to attend a frame tour prior to the drywall installation. This optional walkthrough allows you a unique look into your home and gives you the chance to see some of the structural features that set Granville apart.
5. Granville 101 – Customer Care Orientation
GV101 is an introduction to our Customer Care team and an orientation for the final steps prior to becoming a Granville Homeowner. Our team will inform you what to expect prior to moving in along with how to get in touch with our customer care team.
6. Finalize Loan Documents
Now that your home is approaching completion, you will meet with your lender to finalize your documentation. Your lender will answer any additional questions that you may have and make sure that all documentation is addressed to avoid any penalties.
7. Home Orientation & Tour
During your home orientation, you can inspect all of the components of your home and note anything that may need to be addressed. You will also learn how to use and maintain your new home. We will schedule a follow up confirmation tour approximately 5 business days after the orientation so you can verify that any outstanding items have been resolved.
8. Close of Escrow & Receive Keys
Within the week of your home orientation, it’s time to sign your final loan documents. After the finalization of all loan documents, your sales associate will contact you when your home closes escrow. They will also contact you for your key pick up.
9. Enjoy the Perks!
When you move into a Granville community, you become a member of our family. From special events held at each community, to holiday gatherings and homeowner contests, we invite you to reap the benefits of our ongoing commitment to you and your family!
